Challenge

A leading center for water quality research founded in 1969 and Headquartered in Heidelberg University needed to test water samples from 25 different locations and maintain the quality of water. In addition to providing safe drinking water, their mission was to promote the sustainable use of water resources while striving to protect ecosystem integrity.

KETOS integration

KETOS sensors and software platform tracked water quality, usage, leaks in real-time and provided low cost actionable analytics. The KETOS Shield was placed in 25 locations to provide continuous water safety assurance testing and water quality monitoring.

Business Impact

In addition to the understanding of the basic water health parameters like pH, salinity, alkalinity, KETOS was also able to measure nitrates and boron as well which are specific to the agricultural industry. With the KETOS implementation, water intake can be measured and analyzed precisely for increased profitability. Farmers are empowered with the ability to detect toxins on their mobile app ahead of time to take timely action.
