Challenge
Recently, EPA issued a report finding that required $64.5bn in infrastructure repairs for maintaining compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) standards. The water quality monitoring industry is expected to be worth $384 billion in the next couple of decades to keep water clean through water testing & analytics. US power plants need to test quality for up to 170bn gallons of water annually. In addition, they need to understand the chemical composition of up to 5.9bn gallons of water daily for boilers. The cost of these difficult measures is estimated to be $3.1 billion annually.
